Diagnios is committed to maintaining your privacy.  We adhere to the 10 national privacy principles outlined in the Privacy Amendment (private sector) Act 2000.

Your personal information will be collected by Diagnios for its own use, in connection with your work placements.  We may collect personal information when include in your application or resume.  In certain circumstances it may be necessary to collect sensitive information about you, such as information about your membership of a professional or trade association, your health, your ethnic origin or any criminal record that you may have.  This type of information will only be collected by us with your consent. 

The information we collect comes to us in various ways such as:

  • Your resume.
  • When we interview you.
  • You register and submit personal information online.
  • Enquiries with former employers, work colleagues, professional associations or registration body.
  • Security checks
  • Results of any aptitude, competency or medical test you have taken for us.
  • Performance feedback.
  • Any workplace related complaints.

If you register for employment opportunities we do collect some personal information about you, which you volunteer by filling in your details.  The information required may include providing basic personal details.  The information gathered at this point is stored in our database for retrieval and use by Diagnios staff only for the purposes for which it was intended.  By submitting your personal information in this way, you acknowledge and accept our Privacy statement.

The information we collect comes to us when:

  • When you provide us with any information about you so as to enhance our performance for your search and selection of staff.

Job Seekers

We will only use and disclose personal information about you for the primary purpose of securing you work.  We will not use or disclose your personal information for a secondary purpose without your consent.  We may disclose your personal information when we are under a legal duty to do so.

Clients

The information we collect from you is for the sole purpose of providing you with our services and products and is strictly confidential.  With your consent, we may disclose your information to potential candidates, a worker’s compensation body or any person with a lawful entitlement to obtain information.

We will take reasonable steps to make sure that the personal information collected or disclosed is accurate, complete and up-to-date.

We take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorized access, modification or disclosure.  We will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify personal information if it is no longer needed for any purpose for which the information may be used or disclosed.

  1. Openness

We will set out in a document clearly expressed policies on our management of personal information.  The document will be available to anyone who requests it.

On request by you, we will take reasonable steps to advise you, generally, what sort of personal information we hold, for what purposes, how it is collected, how it is held, used and disclosed.

  1.  Access and correction

We will provide you with access to the information, except to the extent that access would interfere with the privacy rights of other persons, or if it would breach confidentiality that attaches to that information, or if it relates to existing or anticipated legal proceedings.

At any time you can update your personal information that we hold.  If you request access to your personal information contact a representative from Diagnios.

Should you establish that the information we hold about you is not accurate, complete or up-to-date, we will take steps to correct the information.

We will provide reasons for denial of access or a refusal to correct personal information.

We will not adopt government issued ‘identifiers’ (e.g. tax file numbers) for our own identification purposes.

Wherever it is lawful and practicable, you have the option of not identifying yourself when transacting with an organisation.

We may transfer personal information about yourself to someone (e.g. a client) in a foreign country if you consent to the transfer.

  1. Sensitive information

We are not permitted to collect sensitive information about you unless you have consented.  Some sensitive information may be collected from you or a referee only if it is of relevance to the job seeking process.

We may disclose information where required by law, but we will keep a record of any disclosure we make.

From time to time, Diagnios may review and update its privacy statement. Revised versions will be updated on the website.
